L.A. Singer Jhené Aiko began the “Comfort Inn Ending (Freestyle)” in May and just released her continuation of the personal record, giving fans something to obsess over until her EP, “Sail Out” drops.
“Why would you call when you knew that it wasn’t,” she sings.
Jhené’s soulful voice over a solemn accompaniment takes listeners on an emotional journey including boat escapades and run-ins with baby mamas, as she sings, “That day I was at your crib when your baby mama just burst in.”
“Sail Out” is expected to be the EP before the singer drops her debut album, titled “Souled Out.” During a interview with Rap-Up, Jhené revealed Kendrick Lamar, Wiz Khalifa, Big Sean and Ab-Soul as collaborators and the appearance of her rap alter ego J. Hennessy on “Sail Out.”
