We have not heard much from American Idol alumna Jennifer Hudson (unless you are referring to the always-in rotation “Weight Watchers” commercial). However, today she premiered a new song called “Bleed for Love,” which is lifted from the upcoming biopic “Winnie Mandela,”in which she plays the lead role.
On the heart-wrenching tune, written by talented songwriter Diane Warren, Hudson brings her powerful vocals as usual along with soothing sounds of the South Africa Soweto Gospel Choir.
” ‘Bleed for Love’ has such an incredible and meaningful message about the power of love and the extension of the human heart,” said Hudson. “Diane wrote a beautiful song and it was an honor to work with her and the rest of the team to create this powerful piece of music.”
The song “Bleed for Love” is available now on the “Winnie Mandela” soundtrack.
