Over the weekend, K. Michelle performed to a sold out crowd at Power 99’s Powerhouse 2013. Along with performing hits like “V.S.O.P.” the R&B songstress chatted backstage with Kevin and Makael of “The Skorpion Show.”
During the interview, the Memphis native spoke on her excitement as headliner of the annual festival, outselling her female counterparts with “Rebellious Soul” and still fighting her portrayal on “Love and Hip-Hop Atlanta” to please the music politics.
She touched on Atlantic Records giving her full creative control on her debut album. However, she did note she wanted the second single to be “Ride Out” but the label chose “Can’t Raise a Man” due to popular demand.
In addition, Michelle dished on her upcoming reality show “No New Friends” and her ideal man. She couldn’t leave without speaking on her infamous feud with fellow R&B singer Tamar Braxton.
