After traveling to the 80’s last week with “Saturday Love” with Cherelle and Alexander O’Neal, we come back to the 90’s era of R&B music with Mary J. Blige and R.Kelly.
In 1997, Blige enlisted the Chi-Town native for “It’s On” lifted from her third studio album ‘Share My World.” Penned by Kellz himself, the inviting tune finds the two singing about making love for the first time. R.Kelly croons to Mary on making love to her on jet black sand. Blige chimes back agreeing with his advances as she has anticipated the intimate moment too.
Even without receiving single treatment, the song managed to reach No.48 on the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart. It will still go down as one of the greatest grown & sexy records of the 90’s.
