The talent and incomparable Jennifer Hudson sat down with The Brandy Blog’s Vaughn Alvarez to dish on her life, faith and current projects, one of those projects being her role in “Black Nativity.”
The two discussed the film, where she plays the role as Naima, and telling an authentic story without trying to make it “pretty.”
“I don’t like when people ignore the reality and what’s real,” Hudson speaks on Naima’s character. “And what she went through was very real.”
Hudson says she believes that going from her 20’s to her 30’s, she is now in a season of steady foundation.
“Now I feel like I’m not questioning anything,” she said. “I’m pretty much walking into whatever God has designed for me.”
Hudson is also working on her third studio album, and she says she is most excited about expressing herself musically and lyrically.
We can’t wait for this project for J. Hud! Check out the full interview with Vaughn Alvarez below.
