R&B/pop singer Jason Derulo experiments with Lorde’s smash hit “Royals” by singing a cover of it. Joined by a band and two background singers, the “Don’t Wanna Go Home Singer” sang a live cover of the song in the BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge for Fearne Cotton.
Although we commend Derulo for trying, “Royals” simply doesn’t work for him — vocally nor lyrically.
Derulo is currently in the UK promoting his latest single “Trumpets” from his “Tattoos” album.
