Now that she has conquered American Idol as its season 12 winner, Candice Glover does not miss a beat. The singer readies us for her upcoming album while tugging at our emotions as she gives us a touching visual for her “Cried” single.
The black-and-white video shares the pain and sadness portrayed by the singer in flashbacks of her childhood, all making her shed tears as we see the happy moments of and the moment where the family is being broken by physical and emotional abuse from her father.
The powerful “Cried” ballad was written by Jazmine Sullivan, and will be featured on Glover’s debut album “Music Speaks,” set to be released on February 18.
