America’s R&B teddy bear Ruben Studdard spreads some “Unconditional Love” just in time for Valentine’s Day with his next studio album.
It’s hard to believe that the “American Idol: Season 2” champ is already releasing his sixth studio album. The “Unconditional Love” album is said to be his most romantic album to date and the singer even admits that the album “is the kind of music the fanbase of ‘American Idol’ expected from me after I won.”
This album will serve as his debut with this new record label Verve Records. The 11-track disc features his current single, “Meant to Be,” along with covers from many greats such as Paul McCartney, The Carpenters and Marvin Gaye.
Studdard also pairs with Lalah Hathaway, whom he will be touring with in April. Stevie Wonder and his harmonica book a cameo on the album as well. You can currently stream the 45-minute album below before it hits stores and digital retailers Feb. 4.
