Every good thing comes to an end — or at least to a pause — so they say. Beyoncé’s self-titled visual album is still a spot short of No. 1 and remains at the No. 2 spot for the second week in a row as Disney’s “Frozen” soundtrack holds its reign at No. 1.
Many critics forecasted that “Beyoncé” would regain its lead, but due to Disney’s “Frozen” movie sales at the box office this week, the sales for the movie soundtrack soared keeping it at the top spot with 86,000 sold. This was 5,000 to 10,000 more than what was projected. Coming in with a mere 79,000 this week, “Beyoncé” still holds many records for the Billboard 200 and tops the R&B/Hip Hop charts despite all.
R. Kelly’s twelfth studio album “Black Panties” rose to the No. 10 spot marking its fifth week on the Billboard 200 chart. This logs the third smallest amount ever to reach the No. 10 spot since 1991.
