LeToya Luckett has been staying booked lately. From hosting Centric’s “CultureList” to playing an intimidating executive on season three of VH1’s “Single Ladies,” Luckett proves she can juggle the busy life of a modern-day renaissance woman.
Now the “I’m Good” artist markets herself on the winter 2014 cover of Kontrol Magazine where she talks about being Felicia Price on “Single Ladies” and which comedy-drama film inspired her approach to the character.
“Felicia…sometimes she can be a little misunderstood if you will,” she said. “She doesn’t come off as the nicest person when you meet her, so for that I definitely went into my Devil Wears Prada, Meryl Streep bag and tried to put my little spin on it.”
Luckett cleared up rumors on any beef between members of Destiny’s Child and why she has a great relationship with Michelle Williams.
“She’s a genuine person and she’s hilarious! You talk about the two goofballs of the group? It’s me and her all day!,” said Luckett. “She’s such a sweetie pie and she has such a good heart!”
