R&B underdog Noel Gourdin releases a visual for his new leading single “Heaven Knows.” This track is an introduction to the line-up for his third album “City Heart, Southern Soul” to be released January 28.
Born in the city of Boston, Mass. listening to the likes of soulful artists like Marvin Gaye and Otis Redding, Gourdin stays true to his soulful roots. The Boston native sticks with his formula of crafting classic soul music since his break out in the music industry in 2008, which gave him a #1 hit on Urban AC Radio for 15 consecutive weeks. With a nearly three year hiatus from music, the singer delivers a song about hardships of a relationship.
“The song is inspired by relationships that I have gone through- the good and the bad, the ups and downs, cheating, communication breakdowns, etc,” explains Gourdin. “It also deals with the influences that others outside of the relationship can have on two people.”
Gourdin’s authenticity is not only heard in his timeless vocals, but is also seen in his dapper appearance. With suit and tie attire, he delivers the organic flavor of classic soul in his new music video. His ‘retro-relevant’ record is enough to make the likes of Jim Jones and Jay-Z do a slow two-step from side to side.
