On Tuesday (Feb. 11), UK soul artist Daley released his debut set “Days and Nights.” To usher in more listeners for his album, he releases a new song and track-six, “Be.”
The Andre Harris-produced cut finds Daley reliving a conversation he’s having with an ex lover who insists the flame is gone. However, he challenges their response singing, “It’s been so long/since you’ve seen me/how can you know?”
In a recent interview with LifeandTimes.com, the “Alone Together” singer shared the significance of his album title. “I called it Days & Nights because I found myself split into almost two people when I was writing it. One person being a very positive, helpful person who was looking for love and trying to find out what that is. Then, the other person being a lot more pessimistic. It’s about all that stuff and the reasons why. So, it’s coming from two different perspectives.”
