Music veteran and lead vocalist of the R&B group Next RL is taking his solo-career more seriously . He premiered a new single “The Life” earlier this week exclusively on JetMagazine.com.
The Drumatikbeats-produced cut starts with a radio interview of the late Notorious B.I.G. who was there promoting his second and final album “Life After Death” and talking about his new beginning after his once troubled lifestyle.
The song then attempts to act as a club-friendly jam where the R&B heartthrob boost about taking over the bar and living his life in the moment. “You’ve gotta let go sometimes and learn to live your life,” sings RL.
Believe it or not “The Life” serves as the title track to his upcoming project presented by himself and DJ Averi Minor. While the lead joint doesn’t scream a comeback hit for RL, it’s a start.
According to JET magazine, fans can expect more from RL in the coming weeks. However, until the full project surfaces, all we can do now is let him be great.
