Kelis satisfies the appetites of her fans by releasing the visual for her break-up anthem,”Rumble,” lifted off her “Food” album.
The video features Kelis nonchalantly sitting in an upholstered chair in the middle of a lake. The “Bossy” singer is surrounded by men passing through her space, doing random activities such as playing instruments, fishing, canoeing and more. She tries to deal with her messy, conflicting feelings as she sings,”But like a lapse in my memory, I want you baby, don’t go/I’m so glad you gave back my keys.”
Last week the “Jerk Ribs” singer performed a short set during her NPR Music’s SXSW Showcase at Stubb’s. She debuted her new song “Breakfast.” In addition to performing at the 2014 SXSW festival, she set up a soul food truck where she served her signature BBQ dishes.
Her sixth studio album “Food” is expected to hit stores and online retailers on April 22.
