After reaching Grammy-nominated success with R&B group TGT last year, R&B’s chocolate drop Tank steers his focus back on his solo career and premieres “You’re My Star.”
On the new celebratory record, Tank wants his girl to know how extraordinary her love is and how it makes him feel, “I get chills every time I think about your smile / My heart skips a beat.”
The R&B crooner digs into the musical archives of The Jacksons’ and uses their 80’s hit “This Place Hotel” for his horn-driven track.
Tank’s “You’re My Star” serves as the first single off his new album “Stronger.” The new single will be available on iTunes tomorrow, March 11.

His last solo album, “This Is How I Feel,” debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, selling 33,000 copies in its first week. It became his third album to hit No. 1 on that chart including his 2001 debut “Force of Nature” and 2007’s “Sex, Love & Pain.”
