Neo-soul trailblazer Maxwell plans to bring his profound vocal abilities to a city near you this summer. He publicized to his many fans today (April 21) that he will embark on a multi-city tour which he calls the “Summer Soulstice Tour.”
The soul artist will first touchdown in Milwaukee, Wisconsin at the Riverside Theater on June 14. From there, the “Lifetime” performer will make his rounds to major cities including Saratoga, Pittsburgh, Boston, Charleston, Jacksonville, Baton Rouge and Austin, Texas. He will wrap things up on August 17 in Albuquerque, New Mexico at the Route 66 Casino.
While he plans on touring throughout most of the summer, he still intends on performing at the 2014 BET Experience in Los Angeles.
Although Maxwell hasn’t uttered a word about a new album, he will be featured on Jennifer Lopez’ June release on a track titled “I Wanna Love.”
Last year, he dominated the Billboard Adult R&B Songs chart alongside Alicia Keys on their smooth duet “Fire We Make” which stood atop the chart for seven weeks non-consecutive weeks. Their fiery collaboration still remains in the top ten of the urban adult contemporary radio chart.
