It’s been nearly two years since we’ve heard a full-length project from Usher Raymond. We won’t have to wait much longer, though. The R&B crooner is gearing up to release a new album this fall. He starts the album’s promotional campaign by chatting with “Revolt Live” to discuss his upcoming music endeavors.
The series of interview clips kicked off with the “Confessions” artist sharing the double meaning behind his sensual new song, “Good Kisser” which serves as the album’s lead single. “It’s means a little bit of everything to everybody,” he says. “To be a ‘Good Kisser’is cool but then there’s the advance version of kissing.”
Next, the “I Care For You” singer touched on his relationship with fellow R&B artist Chris Brown. While Usher hasn’t been able to talk to Brown since his latest legal situation, he remembers Breezy being in a “positive place” during the shooting of the “Loyal” music video. He also gives some details on their upcoming collaboration, which he says will “answer a lot of questions.”
By now, we should already know Michael Jackson’s “Xscape” album will be dropping next week. Usher tells the hosts that he’s heard the new album and wishes he was apart of it. Although it wasn’t, he goes on to say, “I’ve also been a fan of Michael. He’s been an inspiration to me. He was a friend of mine.” He calls Jackson’s second posthumous album a “passion album.”
