With the “Think Like A Man Too” film opening in theaters tomorrow, Mary J. Blige — who provided all new music for the movie’s soundtrack — will release the music video for her single “Suitcase.”
Unlike her upbeat music video for “A Night To Remember,” the “No More Drama” finds herself locked away in a psychiatric ward being evaluated by doctors and Christian Keyes, who plays her selfish love interest. The Mike Ho directed visual seems to be very intense and definitely out of the norm for the R&B veteran. However, we’ll have to wait until tomorrow to see find out what the doctors diagnosis of MJB.
EXCLUSIVE: Mark J. Feist Talks Producing Mary J. Blige’s ‘Suitcase’
Rated RnB recently spoke with hit-maker Mark J. Feist who produced and co-penned the single “Suitcase.” With the writing assistance of Crystal “Cristyle” Nicole, he states the song was completed in a hour and a half. He explained why Blige was perfect for pulling off the empowering anthem. “First of all, it’s in a very low key,” he said. “Second of all, if you don’t have the swag and you’re not a strong woman and you don’t have the ability to pull emotions from your gut to pull that record off – then it’s not going work.”
