Dr. Pepper and its One Of A Kind Studio Sessions pair with R&B singer Tinashe for a David Andrew Sitek-produced track entitled “Xylophone.”
Dr. Pepper’s One Of A Kind Studio Sessions creates new music by pairing two artists who have never met to form a song during their initial meeting. Tinashe and producer David Andrew Sitek combine for a tribal upbeat tune that is sure to get everyone on their feet moving and grooving to the infectious beat. Even though the two musicians’ artistry differ, their artistries combine well together for an alternative crossover track.
“I definitely have to get acquainted with working with people because before when I was making music, I was making it all on my own,” says Tinashe about her collaboration with Sitek. “It’s been a learning process, learning how to incorporate other people’s artistic opinions and what I’m doing. It’s very fun especially when you’re working with awesome creative people that you respect. It’s cool to hear what they think and to get their input.”
“I listened to the silence, I decided how to interrupt it, and then I chased that down until there was no more silence left,” says Sitek on the inspiration behind the track. “The inspiration for my one of a kind song was destroy silence at any cost.”
