Grammy-nominated singer Kem has much to celebrate. The R&B/soul veteran’s fourth studio album Promise To Love made an impressive debut at No. 1 on the Billboard R&B Albums chart and No. 3 on the Billboard 200.
According to Nielsen SoundScan, Kem sold 52,086 copies of “Promise To Love” during the first week of sales.
“Promise To Love” was powered by lead single “It’s You,” which reached No. 1 on urban adult contemporary radio.
While Kem implemented a solid promotional campaign ahead of the album’s release date, he shows no plans on slowing down.
The Detroit native will visit South Africa this month, appear on Steve Harvey this fall and launch a 10-city tour in November. He will soon also push “Nobody,” the second single off the album.
