Earlier this year, music exec Clive Davis revealed that a live Whitney Houston album was in the works.
“Whitney never had a live album,” he said. “I really want everyone to know … exactly why during her time she was considered the greatest contemporary singer in the world.”
Most recently, Davis visited TODAY to dish on more details about the album including a release date. “She was without question the greatest vocalist in the world,” Davis told Hoda Kotb of TODAY.
According to Davis, Whitney Houston Live: Her Greatest Performances will be released Nov. 10 as a CD and DVD.
The album will include 16 tracks and the DVD will include 19 performances. Some of Houston’s greatest performances on the project include “The Star Spangled Banner” at Super Bowl XXV in 1991, “You Give Good Love” in a 1985 “Tonight Show” appearance, and “I Will Always Love You” at The Concert for a New South Africa in 1994.
