The success of Aretha Franklin’s rendition of “Rolling in The Deep” was not enough to garner her a top 10 album on the Billboard 200.
The Queen of Soul’s new album Aretha Franklin Sings The Great Diva Classics bows at No. 13 on the Billboard 200 after selling 22,642 album copies during its first week of sales.
Although the remake album sales weren’t as high as expected, the debut on the Billboard 200 marks Franklin’s highest since 1985’s Who’s Zoomin’ Who?, which entered at No. 13 on the exact chart.
Aretha Franklin Sings The Great Diva Classics includes the legend’s versions of Barbra Streisand’s “People,” The Surpemes’, “You Keep Me Hangin’ On,” Alicia Keys’ “No One” and Adele’s “Rolling in the Deep.”
