Mary J. Blige shook up The Ellen DeGeneres Show on yesterday (Nov. 13) with a performance of her upbeat tune “Right Now” from The London Sessions album.
Dressed in a blue-lavender pantsuit, the soulful artist commanded the attention of the audience as she belted the lyrics to the Disclosure produced track. While Blige was in good voice, the lack of background singers was noticeable. They could have added more energy to the performance. Nonetheless, it was a solid effort.
Later this month, Blige will perform at the 2014 American Music Awards. She will also perform next month at the “A Very Grammy Christmas” special on CBS.
The London Sessions hits stores and digital retailers on December 2 via Capitol Records.
