Multi-talented performer Eric Bellinger partnered with Billboard to premiere his 2 Chainz assisted single “Focused On You” from his upcoming album Cuffing Season.
The Caifornia native delivers an upbeat track that samples Nas and Bravehearts’ 2003 classic hit “Oochie Wally.” Produced by D Mile and co-produced by Bellinger himself, the tune includes additional vocals by singer Mya and a few catchy bars from Georgia rapper 2 Chainz.
“Oochie Wally has always been one of my favorite jams,” says Bellinger to the online publication. “Just the energy in the beat alone is ridiculous, so I couldn’t resist flipping my own version of this amazing party anthem.”
After the success of Bellinger’s previous club banger “I Don’t Want Her,” Bellinger decided that following up with another party anthem would be the right way to go. When in the studio working on “Focused On You,” the crooner knew that rapper 2 Chainz would take the energy level of the song exactly where it needed to go.
