R&B brother duo Jake & Papa send us back to the ’90’s with their latest release, “Leave Me.”
The duo digs into Blackstreet’s archives and samples their 1997 hit “Don’t Leave Me.” While Blackstreet’s version focused on not leaving a relationship, Jake & Papa’s reworked rendition featuring rapper DUBB and singer Karina includes explicit lyrical content that focuses more on sex than true romance.
Jake & Papa shared their reason for remaking the Blackstreet’s classic record on their official Souncloud page. “Wanted to take ’em back real quick and put a spin on a Blackstreet classic,” said the duo. “This one here is something special. Enjoy.”
