The platinum-selling singer has signed a recording contract with Epic Records, Billboard reports. She will join a roster that includes Michael Jackson, Sade, Ciara and others.
Carey’s new record deal allows her to reunite with music execs — Antonio “L.A.” Reid (chairman/CEO of Epic), Doug Morris (chairman/CEO of Sony) and Joey Arbagey (executive VP of A&R at Epic) — who were involved in the success of her 2005 album, The Emancipation of Mimi.
Carey is reportedly already working on her fifteenth studio album, which will be the follow-up to her 2014 LP Me. I Am Mariah…The Elusive Chanteuse.
In the meantime, Carey is gearing up for a greatest hits album that will release just in time for her forthcoming residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.
