Grammy award-winning singer Lalah Hathaway has announced her plans to record a live album.
Appropriately titled lalah hathaway LIVE!, the live concert recording will serve as her seventh album, which is scheduled to release in the fall. The intimate concert event will be held on Tuesday, April 21st at the legendary Troubadour Theater in Los Angeles, CA.
Hosting this recording at the Troubadour is significant for Lalah because it is where her father, iconic soul singer Donny Hathaway, recorded half of his classic 1972 offering Live. She says, “I have aspired to the greatness of Donny Hathaway Live my entire life. This is an amazing full-circle moment for me!”
