One thing is for sure, Brandy has always been on her grind! The 36-year-old singer is bringing in more coins with her upcoming projects which includes a new show, an album and a book.
Our friends at True Exclusives caught up with the R&B veteran on Thursday night at the 2015 BET Upfronts in New York City. The event highlights upcoming programming for the popular television network. During her funny interview, Brandy revealed details about her lead role on the upcoming sitcom Zoe Moon, which is expected to air some time in 2016.
“Zoe Moon is a cosmetics mogul and she is newly divorced from a very famous boxer,” said Brandy. “Her whole life was about him…and then he want to go cheat…so she was like, ‘No. I’m going to take this divorce money and go start my own company.’ She took it to the next level and keeps building, building and building.”
She continued, “Zoe is everything. I love that I get to play her. I think it’s going to be an amazing series. It’s a sitcom, which is right up in my alley.”
Brandy also revealed that she plans to start her next album and a book after her stint as Roxie in the Broadway musical Chicago.
