Elijah Blake has released new track called “Fading” from his debut album Shadows & Diamonds.
Reminding us of deep songs like TLC’s “Waterfalls,” “Fading” tells the story of a heartbroken woman who can only escape her pain by getting high. Showing concern, Elijah sings, “she’s just fading away, till she’s gone like a memory.”

The track is in support of Blake’s debut album, which is long overdue from his first works back in 2009. While releasing a mixtape and an EP, Elijah also wrote for big R&B names like Ciara, Usher and Keyshia Cole.
Shadows & Diamonds is set to drop June 23.
