Mariah Carey will receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on August 5.

The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce has also confirmed Epic Records CEO L.A. Reid and directors Lee Daniels and Brett Ratner will serve as guest speakers at the ceremony.

“Super excited and feeling so humbled about my star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame,” Carey wrote on Instagram as a caption to a photo of a Hollywood star. “Thank you so much to the fans for making this happen for me.”

Carey is one of the highest-selling female artists of all-time. With 18 No. 1 hits on the Billboard 100 and more than 200 million records sold, Carey is a great pick for a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Her legacy and contribution to R&B music and pop culture can’t be denied.

Congratulations, Mariah
