While Sevyn Streeter readies her debut album, the singer-songwriter treats fans to an EP titled Shoulda Been There (Pt.1).
The 13-track offering, half of which are interludes, includes features from Chris Brown (“Don’t Kill The Fun”), Hit-Boy (“Boomerang”) and B.o.B (“Shoulda Been There”).
In an Q&A with fans, Streeter explained the concept of Shoulda Been There Pt. 1, “#ShouldaBeenThere isn’t my album. This is me, a singer/songwriter expressing a specific moment in my life thru records. I really want yall to understand that I’m not your typical artist. I write my records from my heart, life & experiences. I had the idea..To release these songs before my album b/c I don’t wanna carry that energy into my new space & first album. I talked to my label & they understood.”
