The first single off the album, “Forever” featuring Rick Ross, is will drop this Friday, August 28.

Mario Releases New Single ‘Pain is the New Pleasure’

After changing the title of  his upcoming album to Cosmo 17, Mario returns with a brand new single called “Pain is the New Pleasure.”

The Pham-produced song touches on some of Mario’s personal experiences including his relationship with his mother who passed away earlier this month. Although “Pain is the New Pleasure” was completed before her passing, Mario’s mother never had the chance to hear the song.

“The song deals with my thoughts and feelings towards self-sabotage, self-love and the experience in relation to the material world we live in,” he told Billboard. “The song is really about finding true happiness and I feel like that’s something that can only come from within. The record represents finding that space where you choose to finally love yourself and choose to make better decisions.”

Mario’s new album, Cosmo 17, is scheduled to arrive this fall.
