Janet Jackson’s comeback game is strong. Her latest album, Unbreakable, is on track to debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, according to HitsDailyDouble. The icon is expected to sell between 103-113K copies during the first week of sales with 100-110K being pure album sales.
Unbreakable was released on Oct. 2 and features previously released tracks “No Sleeep,” “BURNITUP!,” “Unbreakable” and “The Great Forever.”
Jackson’s 2008 album, Discipline, also debuted at No. 1 with 181,000 copies sold first week.
Meanwhile, Tamar Braxton’s Calling All Lovers LP, released on the same day, is set to debut at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 with 39-44K copies sold (35-40K in pure sales.) The critically-acclaimed project includes “If I Don’t Have You,” “Angels & Demons,” “Cirlces” and “Catfish.”
