Chrisette Michele is back! The R&B diva has released a trap soul song called “Steady.” The bass heavy tune serves as a reminder to her naysayers that she’s been in the music industry for 10 years and has no plans on slowing down. In fact, her Rich Hipster imprint recently signed a deal with Capitol/Caroline Records.
“They say I’m underrated / Then why I got this paper?,” she sings over the trap beat.
“I’m ready to play,” says Michele. “I miss being a choreographer. I miss my leather pants. I miss being excited. I love my ballads and there will be some in this new album, Milestone, but it’s time to let my hair down and step outside of the box. I can’t wait to share.”
