Good things are in store for emerging singer Ro James. After signing a deal with ByStorm Entertainment/RCA Records, the New York native releases “Permission,” the first official single from his forthcoming debut album.
Produced by Soundz and written by Verse Simmonds, the song captures the soulful grit of James’ voice, while still captivating listeners with its effortless sex appeal to create a sound that is simply enchanting.
“With your permission / I just wanna spend a little time with you / With your permission / Tonight I wanna be a little me on you,” James sings in the first verse.
James also released an accompanying music video for the song, which was directed by Aaron Vazquez of BKLYN1834. The black-and-white follows James and his lover’s unbreakable bond.
