One of the most talked about moments at the 2015 Soul Train Awards was the first-ever R&B/Soul cypher. Inspired by BET Hip Hop Awards’ cypher, the soul cypher featured Erykah Badu, Chrisette Michele, K-Ci of Jodeci, Lalah Hathaway and Eddie Levert of The O’Jays. The four artists took turns flexing their vocals over Mobb Deep’s classic joint “Shook Ones Pt. II.” Badu, who served as the DJ, closed out the cypher.
