Anthony Hamilton is back! The Grammy award-winning singer has released his brand new single “Amen” from his forthcoming fifth studio album. On the slow-burning bass-driven tune, Hamilton shows his appreciation for a woman’s loving, cooking and affection.
“Got me saying ‘amen’ / From my bed to the store / From the church to the job, best thing I know,” he sings on the Salaam Remi (Nas, Amy Winehouse, Miguel) and James Poyser (Mariah Carey, Erykah Badu, John Legend) produced beat.
Hamilton’s untitled album, which follows his 2014 Christmas LP Home for the Holidays, will re-unite him with his longtime collaborator Mark Batson, who has produced some of Hamilton’s biggest hits including “Charlene” and “Comin’ From Where I’m From.” It will also feature production from Chuck Harmony, Claude Kelly and Harold Lilly.
Speaking on his new single and new album, Hamilton said in a press release, “I made this album to be refreshing, uplifting and healing for everyone out there dealing with life’s day-to-day struggles. ‘Amen’ is a show of appreciation for all the good women who make life beautiful and full of love for us men. Now let the folk say Amen and Amen!”
