After much anticipation, Tank’s seventh studio album Sex Love & Pain II is finally out. The 12-track set boasts features from Chris Brown, Shawn Stockman (of Boyz II Men), Wale, Rich Homie Quan, Sage The Gemini, Yo Gotti and Siya.
The album, which is the sequel to 2007’s Sex Love & Pain, includes previously shared tracks “You Don’t Know,” “Already in Love,” “Better for You,” “#BDay,” and “Relationship Goals.”
In an interview with Rated R&B, Tank explained why he made a sequel to Sex, Love & Pain. ” I think I needed to get back to that space of Sex Love & Pain because of the process of how we made that album,” he said. “We just wanted to make some cool music. There was no pressure on us. There was no deadline. There was nothing. We made music on the edge of that line – that R&B line. We pushed the limits of R&B at that moment. This is that album. I wanted to get back to that energy, get back to that edge of R&B and getting back to pushing that line. I feel like it’s time.
