Tory Lanez’s smash single “Say It” is now certified platinum, according to the Recording Industry Association of America. The Brownstone-sampled tune has sold over 1 million units since its release on July 31, 2015.
Produced by Pop Wansel, “Say It” has had a great impact on the Billboard charts. It peaked at No. 23 on the Hot 100 chart; No. 5 on Hot R&B Songs chart; and No. 16 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Songs chart.
Lanez took it to Twitter to express his excitement about his first platinum-selling single. “#SayIt just went platinum …. I told you,” he tweeted.
“Say It” has nearly 59 million streams on Spotify. It is expected to appear on Lanez’s upcoming major debut album, which is slated to release this year via Mad Love Records/Interscope Records.
