Cash Money Records’ up-and-coming singer-songwriter Jacquees teams up with his label executive Birdman on the collaborative project, Lost At Sea.
After releasing a mixtape earlier this year, the buzzing crooner is back again with a seven-track LP with Cash Money boss Birdman. This mixtape features appearances from Detroit rapper Dej Loaf and Derez De’Shon.
In an email to THE FADER, Jacquees explains that the project was an experiment into a new sound. “It’s a different sound to what my fans are used to, but the music is amazing. It’s legendary because it’s me and Stunna and we goin’ in just us.”
Birdman also chimed in, saying: “Just working with Jacquees gives me another energy with music,” Birdman said of Lost At Sea in a text to The FADER. “This a special project to me.”
