Kehlani takes her sound to a mainstream level. The Oakland, Calif. has released a brand new song titled “Gangsta.” The raw and haunting track, lifted from the Suicide Squad movie soundtrack, is about searching for someone who will love you unconditionally.
“I need a gangsta / To love me better / Than all the others do / To always forgive me / Ride or die with me / That’s just what gangsters do,” sings Kehlani on the hook.
The Suicide Squad soundtrack is available now. It features appearances from Ty Dolla Sign, Lil Wayne, Rick Ross and more.
