Singer-songwriter James Fauntleroy takes his talents back into the studio to deliver his bass-booming new song “What the Blazes?!”
With most of his records being funky, love-inspired ballads, the Inglewood, California native switches up the flow with some self-proclaimed “R&B Swag” to talk about the fallout from a relationship that was doomed from the start. With echoing, auto-tuned vocals and hollow bass lines, this new Fauntleroy record really channels the aura of cutting ties with someone toxic.
“I’m so hard to catch / Moving fast, so fast / Like a flash / Are you gonna last? / Moving fast, so fast / Running on broken glass,” he sings.
This track follows last week’s “Oblige,” an ode to the late Dominique Trenier, and “Say Where” earlier this month.
