Jesse Boykins III takes everyone by surprise by dropping a free LP Bartholomew.
The Chicago singer unveiled a massive 17-track project, which features a myriad of guest appearances and producers. From collaborations with Melanie Fiona and Willow Smith to Trinidad James and Dej Loaf, this project boasts sounds from across a wide spectrum. The overarching sound, however, is this very spacey, deep sound that Boykins is able to channel from the production to his soulful vocals.
Boykins has been doing a lot of experimentation with his sound, as his more recent record “Dance On” was a very Deep House inspired song.
This is also his first project since 2014’s Love Apparatus.
