You can’t break Leela James’ heart and expect to come back in her life. The R&B powerhouse returns with her brand new single “Don’t Want You Back,” a breakup anthem that many of us can relate to. On the track, James sings about a man who has a change of heart after breaking up with her. However, James moved on to a new man and isn’t looking back.
“You had a good thing and you let it go / And now you wanna try to come back / But no, I would never take you back / It’s funny how you trying to come back / It’s too late / I moved on and don’t want you back,” James sings.
“Don’t Want You Back” is the lead single from James’ forthcoming album. The album will follow 2014’s Fall For You, which included her Top 5 single “Set Me Free.”
