With his Love You to Death EP set to release this Friday (Dec. 9), The-Dream teases fans with a couple of snippets.
The first track “Rih-Flex” is an ode to the producer/artist’s longtime collaborator Rihanna.
“She on that Rihanna flex / Now you need that love / Feels like you lost something that you never had / It was all that / Now, it’s all bad / That Rihanna flex,” he sings on the smooth tune.
The-Dream and Rihanna’s working relationship dates back to 2007 during her Good Girl Gone Bad era. He co-wrote and produced her mega hit “Umbrella,” which remained no. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for seven consecutive weeks. He most recently worked with Rihanna on her Grammy-nominated album, Anti.
The-Dream also previewed a song called “College Daze,” where he sings, “I forgot about the things you did in college / Can you forget about them things I did last night?”
