August Alsina is back! The New Orleans native has released his brand new single titled “Drugs.” On the slow-burning tune, Alsina sings about being addicted to his lover.
“Baby, when I tell you I want you, I want you bad / If not more than before, I want you more than the time before that / I can’t give you no closure, no,” he sings.
“Drugs” is Alsina’s first official single since the release of 2015’s This Thing Called Life, which debuted at no.14 on the Billboard 200.
Alsina went to his Instagram to share his excitement about his new music.
“Sooooo f***ing excited to finally beable to release new music!!!!,” he wrote. “Thank you all for being so patient with me on my journey… I’m so proud to share all of the newness with y’all and spread vibrations of love through the music.”
Alsina’s third studio album is expected to release later this year.
