Just days after premiering his new song “Drugs,” August Alsina shares the accompanying visual. Co-directed by Alsina and Amber Gray, the video features Alsina wearing tribal paint as he wonders through the Garden of Eden.
“Drugs” is the title track to Alsina’s forthcoming third studio album, which will be out later this year via Def Jam Recordings.
“I realized how addicted to certain ways of living life I was, addicted to chaos, addicted to drama, addicted to confusion,” Alsina said in an Instagram video post. “Lately, for me, it’s been about breaking the cycle and creating a new normal. That new normal is love. I have a newfound addiction. Through love and beautiful women, I’ve been able to find myself, reach higher places within myself.”
