After releasing her new single “Back 2 Life” last month, LeToya Luckett returns with an accompanying visual directed by Michael Vaughn Hernandez.
In the eight-minute clip, Luckett’s love interest (played by Thomas Q. Jones) introduces her to his old female friend at a restaurant. Being observant as ever, Luckett feels like they are a little too comfortable with each other and she begins to question their involvement. Her boyfriend feels like she is trying to change him, which becomes an issue itself. Throughout the video, clips of the couple’s happy past are shown.
“Back 2 Life” is the lead single from Luckett’s forthcoming album that is slated to release this spring. Her new album will follow 2009’s Lady Love, which debuted at no. 1 on Billboard’s Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. It included her hit songs “Not Anymore” and “Regret.”
