TLC is officially back! The legendary R&B group has released their new single “Way Back,” which features Snoop Dogg. A radio edit version of the song, which does not include Snoop Dogg, premiered on Thursday afternoon on iHeartRadio.
“We go way back / Like James Brown and Michael J / Like them high school parties / Some things don’t ever change / Yeah, you and me, we go way back,” TLC sings on the nostalgic, feel-good record.
“Way Back” is the first single off TLC’s fifth and final album, which is set to release on June 30. They are scheduled to film the music video for “Way Back” next week.
TLC’s fifth studio album will follow 2002’s 3D, which was released nearly seven months after member Lisa “Left Eye” Lopez died in a car accident. The album debuted at no. 6 on the Billboard 200 with 143,000 copies sold in the first week.
