It’s been a long time coming but Sevyn Streeter‘s debut album, Girl Disrupted, is now available.
The 13-track offering includes features from The-Dream, August Alsina, Ty Dolla Sign, Dej Loaf, Wiz Khalifa, Cam Wallace and Dave East.
Girl Disrupted features Streeter’s popular singles “Before I Do,” “My Love For You” and “Fallen” featuring Ty Dolla $ign and Cam Wallace.
“I called my album Girl Disrupted because it’s literally what happened to me,” Sevyn Streeter told iHeartRadio. “I feel like sometimes in your life you have to disrupt some things and that’s literally what I did. Sometimes voluntarily, sometimes involuntarily, but ultimately, the girl within me really did become disrupted.”
She continued, “And a lot of the things that I went through, whether it was love lost, or heartaches, or dealing with depression, or business relationships falling apart; I had to literally disrupt that girl mentality and it forced me to become a smarter, wiser, stronger, more confident woman. I touch on that throughout my album in different ways.”
Girl Disrupted is the follow-up to 2015’s Shoulda Been There Pt. 1.
